To all our friends and fans at FBBJ, Jazz West Coast and Kentonia:

There are times in life when we really need to pitch in and help people who have been good friends and "bandmates" for so many years. Dennis Noday has been a good friend and trusted musical compatriot for 40 years. He is one of those special people who loves big band music, loves the memory of Stan Kenton, and has worked tirelessly to help keep the big band flame alive.

He and his wife Mary have undergone much hardship over the past few years, especially dealing with Mary's health. They are facing yet another operation for Mary, and some pretty hefty medical bills, and are now facing problems with keeping their home in the related aftermath. I would like to set up a fund through Friends of Big Band Jazz, to help them as much as we can. Any amount no matter how small would be great.
